ROSE HAIR TARANTULA
ORIGIN: Chile South America
ADULT SIZE:: 5 " to 6"
LIFE SPAN: Males 4 to 5 years....Females 15 years
HOUSING: A 2 to 5 gallon aquarium would be ideal for one spider.
LIGHTING: Tarantulas do not need any light source
HEATING: The tank should be kept around 80 degrees. An undertank heat pad is the best heat source for them
SUBSTRATE: Peat Moss type bedding is best and should be around 3 inches deep. Make sure you have branches and plants in the terrarium
HUMIDITY: Keep a shallow dish of water in the enclosure at all times. Keep the bedding moist to keep the burrows at 70% humidty. Mist the tank a couple times a week
DIET: Crickets, Mealworms and Waxworms
HANDLING: Rose Hairs are one of the most docile tarantulas. Keep in mind though that tarantulas are venomous.
